Insurance
In
common with many other organisations in the security industry, Trident
has taken out a number of insurance policies to protect existing
and prospective Clients, as well as Trident personnel engaged in
hazardous and dangerous work. The following categories of insurance
and licensing are held by Trident Security:
Public Liability
Trident has taken out Public Liability Insurance with a twenty million
dollar ($20 m) limit for any one accident. This policy protects
Trident personnel when they become legally liable to pay by way
of compensation in respect of the following issues:
Bodily injury to others (including death and illness);
Property damage (including loss of property);
Assault (civil convictions only);
Matters arising in connection with patrols (mobile units);
Matters pertinent to static security;
Workers' Compensation
Trident also holds Workers' Compensation insurance indemnifying Trident against all
sums for which, in respect of any personnel employed by Trident, the latter may become
legally liable by way of compensation under the Workers' Compensation Act, 1916-1988.
This policy protects all Trident personnel against accidental injury or death whilst
performing their duties as required by our Client.
Security Firms Licence
Trident possesses a Security Firms Licence and a Security Officer
and Crowd Controller Licence required under the Security Providers
Act 1993. This licence is not only required under Queensland Statute
Law, but by any business supplying security personnel for reward,
but also in accordance with The Insurance Contracts Act 1984. A
security business must hold this licence for any relative insurance
policy to be valid. (This likewise applies to all Trident personnel
who must hold valid licences).
Organisation Licence
This licence enables Trident Security staff if they are themselves licensed with the
appropriate licence to carry regulated weapons.
